The Photographer
Before I picked up a camera, I was (and still am!) a primary school teacher supporting kids with disabilities — which means I come fully equipped with patience, kid-level humour, and the ability to meet little people exactly where they’re at.
Big feelings, wiggly bodies, shy smiles — none of it fazes me. Your kids don’t need to “perform” for the camera. They just need to be themselves.
The Sessions
Expect games, little missions and plenty of movement. I give kids space to warm up and gently prompt the grown-ups, so even the camera-shy can forget there's a camera around.
No need for everyone to sit still and smile — we'll work with whatever your people bring on the day.
The Story
Mud & Magic started because I wanted to capture the beautifully ordinary moments with my own little one… because, let's be honest, my husband wasn't cutting it!
I'm drawn to the muddy shoes, wrangled chaos and quiet magic of everyday family life, four-legged family members included.
