Mud & Magic is all about real moments — the muddy shoes, the giggles between wrangled chaos, the quiet magic that lives in everyday family life.

Before I picked up a camera, I was (and still am!) a primary school teacher, which means I come fully equipped with patience, kid-level humour, and the ability to meet little people exactly where they’re at. Big feelings, wiggly bodies, shy smiles — none of it fazes me. Your kids don’t need to “perform” for my camera. They just need to be themselves.

I take a gentle, playful approach to sessions, giving kids space to warm up and families permission to relax. Some of the best photos happen in the in-between moments — and those are my favourite ones to capture.

And because family doesn’t stop at humans — pets are always welcome here. They’re part of your story, your routines, your love. That’s why Mud & Magic offers a dedicated pet-friendly session option, so your four-legged family members can be included in a way that feels calm, joyful, and true to you.

Every session is edited by hand (no presets here), thoughtfully tailored to your family, your location, and the light we’re given — because your memories deserve more than a one-size-fits-all approach.
