Before I picked up a camera, I was (and still am!) a primary school teacher supporting kids with disabilities — which means I come fully equipped with patience, kid-level humour, and the ability to meet little people exactly where they’re at.

Big feelings, wiggly bodies, shy smiles, none of it fazes me! Your kids don’t need to “perform” for the camera. They just need to be themselves.

I take a gentle, playful approach to sessions, giving kids (and fur babies) space to warm up and families permission to relax. Some of the best photos happen in the in-between moments. And those are my favourites to capture.

I turn things into little games for children, giving them “missions” to keep things fun and natural, while gently guiding adults with simple prompts to shake off those camera-shy nerves.

I first ventured into this wanting to capture those moments with my own little one… because let’s be honest, my husband wasn’t cutting it!
